A warning that last week we had a beaver chew down and take three trees from the shoreline of our (Thomason) property. There is no doubt that it was a beaver that did it given the teeth marks, height of chews, bark bits, and branches left behind. Hopefully it was a beaver just passing through and not deciding to take up residency on the lake. Please let anyone on the Lake Association Executive know if you have seen the beaver (not to be confused with our much smaller muskrats), any sign of a hut being constructed, or have lost any trees recently. Also, you should ensure any trees that you would like to keep are wrapped and protected by wire mesh.
