Jessica Vanderkaden is heading up our annual tree planting efforts again this year. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for social distancing, instead of gathering as a group to plant trees this year she is going to deliver 20 seedlings to each family to either plant on your property or at the areas indicated on the attached map below of the Sunfish Holdings lands.
The tree seedlings are scheduled to arrive next Friday, May 29th from the GRCA. Because they are small and bare rooted they have to be planted within 24 hours. There will be a good variety of native species such as Hemlock, Red Oak, Burr Oak, Sugar Maple, High Bush Cranberry, Nanny Berry, etc.
